Sustainable Engineering: Innova Achieves ISO 14001 International Environmental Management Certification
Excellence, quality, efficiency, and sustainability are some of the values that have defined Innova Group’s journey since its inception. This path has now culminated in the achievement of the ISO 14001 international certification, the globally recognized benchmark standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
This internationally recognized certification, awarded by the multinational certification company SGS, confirms that Innova operates under a management model focused on controlling environmental impact, optimizing resource use, and promoting continuous improvement across all areas of our business—from the design and manufacturing of packaging systems to their commercialization, installation, and technical service support for our customers.
By obtaining ISO 14001 certification, Innova reaffirms its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and environmental responsibility, fundamental pillars of our corporate philosophy. This standard joins the ISO 9001 Quality certification obtained in 2022 and recently renewed, as well as the international sustainable construction certification BREEAM©.

What Is ISO 14001 Certification?
ISO 14001 is an international standard that helps organizations structure and improve their environmental management practices daily. It goes beyond simply verifying compliance with mandatory regulations, requiring companies to integrate environmental protection into their overall business strategy.
Under this standard, Innova ensures the implementation of preventive measures to reduce our environmental footprint and achieve measurable environmental objectives.
Some of the environmental management standards we were already applying, and have further strengthened through ISO 14001 certification, include:
- Resource efficiency: Responsible use of raw materials and energy throughout industrial operations.
- Waste management and reduction: Classification, recycling, and minimization of waste generated during production.
- Pollution prevention: Emissions control, carbon footprint reduction, and minimization of environmental risks.
- Life cycle assessment: Consideration of environmental impact from machinery design through to operation at the customer’s facilities.
- Sustainable corporate culture: Employee training and awareness programs focused on responsible environmental practices.
Scope and Validation of the Certification at Innova Group
In Innova’s case, ISO 14001 certification was specifically granted for the design, manufacturing, commercialization, installation, and maintenance of packaging systems, validating our environmental management controls across every stage of our operations.
The audit confirms that both engineering activities carried out in our offices and production processes at our manufacturing plant are conducted while optimizing energy use and minimizing waste generation. In addition, commercial activities, transportation for equipment installation, and our technical maintenance services are managed under strict procedures designed to reduce the environmental impact of our day-to-day operations.
This environmental commitment also extends to our own facilities. In 2025, we also obtained the BREEAM certification (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology), the world’s most prestigious sustainable building certification. This recognition confirms that our new facilities, inaugurated in May 2025, meet stringent criteria for energy efficiency, responsible resource management, and employee well-being.

Quality and Sustainability as Pillars of Our Engineering
This new environmental certification does not stand alone; rather, it builds upon our strong track record in excellence management. In 2022, we achieved ISO 9001 certification, the world’s leading quality standard, which we successfully renewed in 2026. This certification guarantees that all our internal processes, packaging machinery manufacturing operations, and after-sales technical services comply with the strictest quality and continuous improvement requirements.
By combining the operational excellence of ISO 9001 with the environmental responsibility of ISO 14001, we are strengthening a business model in which the highest standards of quality and respect for the environment always go hand in hand.

Innova’s Commitment to Sustainability
For us, this certification represents another step forward in our global environmental management strategy. More importantly, it officially validates and demonstrates the commitment to sustainability that has been part of Innova’s DNA since day one.
Looking ahead, our objective remains clear: to continue driving resource optimization across all manufacturing processes, advance the development of increasingly efficient technological solutions, and actively work toward reducing the carbon footprint of all our daily operations.
