Chemical Building chooses Innova’s Stretch Hood system for its new production plant

How can total protection of chemical products be achieved? Which packaging system guarantees airtight sealing against external agents? To address these challenges, Chemical Building has chosen the Stretch Hood system for the end of line at its new production plant. To equip the facility with cutting-edge technology, the company has entrusted Innova with implementing a solution that ensures maximum load protection and an impeccable final presentation.

The project consisted of installing a Stretch Hood packaging line at its new production plant in Macael (Almería), integrating it into the factory’s logistics flow and connecting it directly to the palletizing station. An efficient and sustainable solution aligned with the quality standards demanded by today’s market.

Chemical is a benchmark in the chemical sector, specializing in the manufacture of high-quality solutions for the construction industry, with more than 20 years of experience in the sector. In line with its strategic goals, Innova’s installation allows the company to optimize its end-of-line packaging, ensuring that every pallet reflects its commitment to quality and environmental responsibility.

Chemical’s challenge: Protection and efficiency from the start

Chemical’s main objective with this project was to equip its new plant with a pallet packaging system capable of guaranteeing maximum load protection. The company was looking for a solution that would keep the load protected and waterproof on all five sides, while also providing a professional, transparent, and wrinkle-free presentation to enhance brand visibility.

Innova’s solution: Stretch Hood packaging line

To meet these needs, Innova designed a state-of-the-art packaging line consisting of:

1. Stretch Hood system

The installed Stretch Hood system meets all of Chemical’s requirements. This technology applies a tubular film that perfectly adapts to the load, covering it on all sides down to the pallet base. In addition to guaranteeing product protection, this eliminates the need to apply extra film layers or a top cover sheet, achieving a flawless finish while significantly reducing plastic consumption.

2. Infeed and outfeed conveyor line

To optimize Chemical’s logistics chain, an infeed conveyor line was installed that connects directly to the palletizing system, including an auxiliary entry point for loading vehicles.

In addition, the system includes a gravity outfeed line with pallet accumulation and collection for the already hooded pallets.

Results for Chemical: Total protection, packaging quality, and sustainability

With the commissioning of the Stretch Hood system, Chemical has achieved the protection and airtight sealing objectives required for its chemical loads, ensuring that products arrive at the final customer in perfect condition.

Beyond technical efficiency, the installation is aligned with the company’s sustainability goals. By using only the exact amount of film required for each load, the company optimizes material usage and minimizes the carbon footprint of its logistics process, reinforcing its commitment to a more responsible industry.

Chemical has expressed its satisfaction with the project, highlighting the level of protection achieved for its loads with Stretch Hood, as well as the superior-quality finish and packaging aligned with its environmental sustainability standards.

For Innova, it is a privilege to work with one of the leading companies in the chemical sector, providing them with an end-of-line solution that meets their high protection standards. This project reflects our shared commitment to innovation, quality, and sustainability.

Thank you, Chemical, for trusting Innova Group for this project!
