Nitroparis Automates Its End-of-Line with Innova Group’s new Arm Stretch Wrapper

How can chemical products be effectively protected and secured for logistics, simply and efficiently? The chemical industry faces numerous logistical challenges, not only in terms of protection but also in the packaging process itself. For Nitroparis, a chemical manufacturer, the goal was clear: fully automate its end-of-line and improve the protection and packaging of its products. Innova Group provided a solution with the installation of the innovative Arm Stretch Wrapper ‘AWS Techlite’, a versatile solution celebrated for its adaptability and features.

The installation took place at Nitroparis’s Nules plant, which serves as the company’s primary production site. Nitroparis is a leading chemical company with over 70 years of experience in the market, specializing in the production of potassium nitrate, being the only company in Spain that manufactures this product. Currently, the company exports its products to more than 64 countries, achieving a global presence that has earned it multiple export awards. With Innova’s new packaging line, the goal is to improve load protection and safety for exports while optimizing the entire end-of-line process.

The Challenge: Total Automation of End-of-Line Packaging

Nitroparis sought an advanced solution to automate its packaging process and unify and improve the protection of its chemical loads during transportation and storage. Chemical product bags require precise and secure packaging to shield the load from external factors and ensure the integrity of the product.

At the time, the company used a semi-automatic packaging system that required human intervention to complete the wrapping process. Additionally, Nitroparis needed an automatic packaging system that could adapt to the dimensions of its production plant without requiring a large-scale installation.

The Solution: Techlite Arm Wrapper

After evaluating the situation and Nitroparis’s specific needs, Innova’s team recommended the installation of the AWS Techlite arm wrapping system. This new automatic pallet stretch wrapper model is more compact and versatile, making it ideal for Nitroparis’s end-of-line requirements.

The new Stretch Wrapper was directly integrated into Nitroparis’s bagging and palletizing line, achieving complete automation of the packaging process. The packaging line included:

  • Conveyor Line:
The conveyor line connects with the palletizer robot station and includes an exit line adapted to Nitroparis’s loading vehicles for pallet pickup.

Results for Nitroparis

Thanks to the installation of the automatic stretch wrapper, Nitroparis has increased productivity, reducing the time required to wrap each pallet and freeing operators from repetitive tasks, allowing them to focus on other production areas.

The Techlite arm wrapper offers enhanced protection, ensuring products arrive at their final destination in optimal condition, regardless of transportation conditions or distance.

Nitroparis has expressed great satisfaction with the results of the project: Jose Maria Paris, General Manager of Nitroparis, stated, “The decision to automate our end-of-line with Innova Group has been a key change for our production. Not only have we improved efficiency, but we’ve also achieved enhanced protection for our chemical product loads, which is a priority for us.”

For his part, Sergio Llido, General Manager of Innova Group, added, “At Innova Group, each project is unique, and our priority is to offer a packaging solution that not only meets the client’s current needs but is also prepared to grow with their production. The Nitroparis project is a great example of this. In this project, the Techlite arm wrapper has proven to be the ideal choice, allowing Nitroparis to improve its process and ensure the safety of its products sustainably and efficiently.”

Thank you, Nitroparis, for trusting Innova Group!
